Fully Recognized Marriage Worldwide

...Marrying in the Czech Republic follows marriage laws that are fully recognized by the powers that be for all nationalities from around the globe. Marriage certificates and other relevant documentation will be provided to each client following the wedding ceremony in order to allow for the above mentioned recognition as well as proof for securing new passports, etc.

Document Needs

Complete handling of all legal paperwork is provided making it easy for each and every client, regardless of whether you are having a civil or church ceremony. For all documents that must secured in your home country and translated here, MoravianWeddings will direct you step by step in how to obtain them, from what offices you will find them and provide examples of exactly what the documents will look like. MoravianWeddings will also collect all marriage documents necessary here in the Czech Republic, as well as escort you to the required registrar or church offices prior to the wedding day.

General Paperwork Requirements:

  • Birth Certificate (original or notarized copy)

  • Divorce Decree Absolute (original or notarized copy)
  • Additional Documents for Religious Ceremonies (contact for details)

In most cases, client obtains above listed documents in his country. Certain nationalities (i.e.Australians) must obtain "no impediment document" in the Czech Republic, with assistance of MoravianWeddings.com. In all cases, the costs in regards to obtaining documents required by Czech law for the wedding will fall upon the client. Please contact us for detailed information about your documents.

Package prices online are quoted for American, Irish, and British Citizens. For each person (bride/groom) who is not of these nationalities, there may be a surcharge of up to 10 000 CZK

Advance Arrival to the Czech Republic

Please note that clients must arrive to the Czech Republic a minimum of 2-3 working days before the wedding day in order to handle all necessary finishing touches on the paperwork with their personal wedding coordinator. For a Thursday, Friday or Saturday wedding, arrival on the Tuesday evening is required, unless previously agreed with a representative of our company. This time cushion also affords the clients a period for adjustment to time change, as well as a grace period for any last minute details that must be addressed.

Standard Time Frame

The standard timeframe is simple. We manage all of your paperwork here in the Czech Republic, including obtaining all over the required documents from Czech official offices. However, we need all of the documents required for your wedding from your side, in our office here in the Czech Republic a minimum of 30 working days before the wedding date.

Express Time Frame:

Last minute weddings are possible in the Czech Republic, however clients may be charged a 15 000 CZK fee or 25 000 CZK fee for last minute weddings between Dec.20th and January 6th and other holiday seasons. The surcharge is for the extra effort required by wedding coordinator, additional wedding coordinator in some cases, express document translation, government stamps etc.

  • Package does not include costs for obtaining documents required from client before the wedding (Birth Certificate, No impediment to marry). Each nationality is different, for details please contact us.
  • Additional fee applies to divorced persons or those who have legally changed their name during the course of their life.
  • Please check with us for latest prices on all the extra services. All prices subject to change without notice.
  • Prices are valid for U.S., Irish, and British citizens. All others please enquire for additional costs that might be required for extra paperwork.
  • It is necessary for the bride and groom to arrive in the Czech Republic 2 -3 working days prior to the wedding day for civil ceremonies and 3 days for church ceremonies to visit local offices and finish up paperwork. For exceptions please enquire.
